MEDICAL CARE
In the event a guest requires medical attention while on board, our ships have medical facilities and in the event of an emergency our medical staff is available to assist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In case of a serious medical emergency, where more comprehensive facilities are required, guests are referred to shoreside medical facilities.
We strongly encourage guests to carry a copy of their medical records (e.g., a list of medical conditions, allergies, names, and medication dosages, as well as the name and contact information of their physician).
MEDICATION
Please be sure to bring enough medication to last the duration of your cruise, as our medical center cannot supply or refill prescriptions.
If your medication is a prescribed narcotic, you must hand carry the original container and prescription.
We advise that our guests pack all medications in their carry-on luggage and recommend guests do not pack medications in checked baggage.
MEDICINE STORAGE & SHARPS
Some ships have staterooms equipped with mini-bars. Please note, stateroom mini-bars are designed to maintain the temperature of beverages only. The mini-bars are not to be used to store medications that have specific temperature requirements.
In the event your medication(s) needs to be refrigerated, we have a limited quantity of medi-coolers, which can be checked out on a first come, first served basis, with a refundable rental deposit required. Should a medi-cooler not be available, our Medical Center can assist with refrigeration needs during operating hours. Requests for specific pick-up times must be arranged with our medical team. Alternatively, a small, personal-sized cooler no larger than 12” x 12” x 12” is permitted as carry-on luggage, for the purpose of housing medications.
Guests who are traveling with injectable medication and need a sharps disposal container should contact the Medical Center or the housekeeping staff once on board.
