
Litchfield National Park: Travel approximately two hours south of Darwin to Litchfield National Park. This fascinating, uniquely beautiful area was originally the home of the Aboriginal Wagait people. Visit the famous Termite Mounds, one of Litchfield's unique sights. This collection of hundreds of termite mounds stands over 10-feet high in a wide swathe of empty ground and has the appearance of tombstones in a graveyard. After lunch, drive to Wangi Falls. The falls flow into a large water hole surrounded by a lush monsoonal rain forest making it Litchfield National Park's most popular attraction.

Requirements & Restrictions: Guests must be able to access the vehicle unassisted; walk approximately 500 meters on uneven compacted dirt, boardwalk, and gravel paths; and navigate some steps. For safety reasons, guests who cannot withstand high heat or humidity for long periods, should not participate in this tour.
What to Bring: Wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat, jacket, biodegradable sunscreen, and bottled water.
Good to Know: The journey from Darwin to the Magnetic Termite Mound is approximately 1.5 hours. The return journey from Litchfield National Park to Darwin is approximately 2 hours. The heat and humidity at this location can be strenuous. Order of sights may vary on the day.
