Heraklion, Knossos & Arolithos Village

Drive to Knossos, the ancient capital of the great King Minos. Your guided tour will take you through the amazing ruins of this ancient palace, which served as the administrative and religious centers for the whole region. The living quarters of the king and queen and members of the royal court and potters' workshops are all within the palace complex. 

Continue on to Heraklion city where you will enjoy some free time for shopping before arriving at the traditional village of Arolithos.  Walk along its cobble stoned streets and see local artisans producing ceramics, weavings, wood carving and even bread baking. Reach a small square and enter an authentic Greek coffee shop, where you will receive a welcome drink known as raki. Continue on the main square of the village to find its beautiful old church.
