Take a walk on the wild side at Tahune AirWalk, the longest treetop walks in the world. Travel by coach to the picturesque Huon Valley. The countryside is dotted with farms and bordered by hills and mountains. Orchards and vineyards abound in the fertile Huon Valley and the picturesque Huon River is breathtaking. At the Tahune Airwalk, walk high up amongst the treetops, up to 30 meters above the forest floor. Breathe in the incredibly fresh forest air and peer out at the forest canopy. The very last section of the walk, the cantilever, stands an impressive 50 meters above the river below. The glorious view will leave you in awe.
For safety reasons, guests with visual or hearing impairments or travelling in a wheelchair must always travel with a companion. Some areas of the Forest & Heritage Centre are not wheelchair accessible. The Tahune Air Walk is 147 feet above ground level and for safety reasons, not suitable for guests who suffer from vertigo. Please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, and bring plenty of biodegradable sunscreen and bottled water.
