Visit Iconic North Shore Maui Towns: Take in the highlights of the island]s spectacular North Shore, beginning with Makawao Town, where you can still see remnants of this historic hamlet's paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy). Today, Makawao is known more as a thriving arts community. You'll visit the shop of two of the leading glass blowers in Hawaii; a local art gallery displaying a wide array of works by Hawaii's most renowned artists; and the Makawao History Museum, where you'll glimpse a slice of this area's bygone past.
Walk in the Rainforest to a Waterfall: Head to Ho'olawa Valley, where Maui's artists often visit for inspiration. Take a guided nature walk with a leading naturalist. Your destination is an idyllic waterfall overlook in the rainforest. Along the way you'll learn about the valley's indigenous flora and fauna.
Ho'okipa Beach Overlook: Last stop is the lovely Ho'okipa scenic lookout, where some of the best waves in Hawaii, and green Hawaiian sea turtles (honu), are found. While pausing for photos, you can expect to see surfers riding the waves.
