Dragon Adventure/: Board your tender to Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature, where a friendly guide and park ranger will lead you on a 60-minute walking expedition. Keep your camera ready, as you might encounter the world’s largest lizard, the impressive Komodo dragon, reaching lengths of up to 10 ft and weights of 300 pounds.
Marine Expedition: Komodo National Park isn’t just about its famous dragons; it’s also a haven for marine biodiversity. Dive into the underwater world at Pink Beach, where you can swim and snorkel among 1,000 fish species, 260 species of reef-building coral, manta rays, sharks, dolphins, whales and sea turtles. All snorkeling gear is provided for your adventure before returning to the ship.
What to Bring: Weather conditions can be extremely hot and shade is limited. Bring bottled water, a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes.
Good to Know: Due to limited parking for local boats at the pier, there is a possibility that guests will have to do boat-to-boat transfers that will require getting wet. Additionally, after arriving at Pink Beach, guests will also be transferred from the wooden boat ashore by using a small dingy. Only guests booked on shore excursions are permitted by the authorities to go ashore at Komodo Island.
