
Komodo National Park: Tendering from the ship, guests will arrive at Komodo Jetty, the entrance to Komodo National Park. Accompanied by a local guide and park ranger, they will embark on a one-hour walking expedition through thorny vegetation and dry grasslands, with the excitement of spotting Komodo dragons. Along the way, guests will learn about the island's diverse wildlife and its rich marine ecosystem before returning to the jetty for the transfer back to the ship.
Requirements & Restrictions: Those on their menstrual cycle are not permitted, as the Komodo dragons are particularly sensitive to blood.
What to Bring: Weather conditions can be extremely hot and shade is limited. Bring bottled water, a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes.
Good to Know: Only guests booked on shore excursions are permitted by the authorities to go ashore at Komodo Island.
