Sightseeing through Mountains: Rising behind Mazatlán is the Sierra Madre range of mountains, which separates the coastal area of Mexico from the interior. Rich in minerals and extremely rugged, these mountains have become the subject of spectacular legends.

Brickyard: Your exploration will take you from historic Mazatlán to the Durango Highway, stopping at a brickyard where adobe bricks are handmade and fired, much as they have been for several centuries.

Malpica: You will continue your tour by visiting a village family home bakery with a chance to try some typical Mexican sweet bread baked in an adobe oven.

Concordia: Stop to enjoy a refreshing drink at one of the many colonial furniture and pottery workshops where roof tiles, jars, flowerpots and dishes, typical of this region, are produced.

Copala: A once-thriving Spanish gold and silver mining town that dates back as far as 1565. Today, it is a ghost town. During the walking exploration, view ornate colonial houses, a jail and an impressive church.

Golden Zone: Once you return to Mazatlán, enjoy a stroll in the Zona Dorada, or Golden Zone, the modern resort area where you can browse souvenirs, jewelry and handcrafts amidst palm-lined beaches and glamorous hotels.
