E-Bike Adventure: Explore the stunning Hawke’s Bay coastline on an electric bike and discover its culture, nature, and gastronomy. Start with a short drive from the port to your cycling start point on Napier’s Marine Parade. Here, you will change vans and be driven to Waitangi Regional Park. Along the way, learn about the Atea a Rangi Star Compass and how the Polynesians navigated by the stars, moon and sun. Then, join your guide to get set up on your comfortable e-bike and listen to a safety briefing and instructions. Enjoy a scenic ride on the Hawke’s Bay Trail, a dedicated pathway that offers views of the ocean and Cape Kidnappers. You will cycle on a hard and flat limestone trail for a distance approximately three miles to the village of Clive, with stops for commentary along the way, before arriving at the beautiful East Clive Wetlands area. Here, you can observe the many native, rare birds that inhabit the area. On reaching the mouth of Tuki Tuki River, you will cross and turn back toward the coast. Arriving in the small coastal community of Te Awanga, a cycle of about four miles from Clive, you can look forward to your well-deserved winery visit.

Winery & Restaurant: The final half mile of the cycle then brings you to a local winery, the venue for a wine tasting and light meal. Savor the tastes of the Mediterranean at the estate’s iconic restaurant, an eatery that has been winning fans since its opening. After your wine tasting, it will be time to leave the coastal vineyard and return to the wharf by van or coach.
