Important Information to Know Before You Go
We like all our guests to have fun and are committed to providing you a great holiday. Please take a few moments to review some important information and policies that we ask all guests to be familiar with.
Drug Free Zones
All cruise terminals and our ships are drug-free zones. Law enforcement is present at all terminal facilities to conduct screening measures and random searches may be implemented. All bags may be subject to drug screening, including at foreign ports of call where authorities are often present enforcing local laws. Any guest found to be in possession of illegal drugs will be denied boarding and no refunds or compensation will be issued. Additionally, guests may be subject to other actions as determined by the authorities.
Liquor, Beverage & Prohibited Items Policies
Guests are not allowed to bring hard liquor, beer or plastic/glass bottled beverages, (e.g., water, sodas, and other non-alcoholic drinks) on board. Please review our Beverage Policy for more information.
All speakers (including Bluetooth, portable, and wireless types) and radios are prohibited and will be held and returned at the end of the cruise. For safety reasons, public announcements must be heard by all guests and crew. Consequently, guests must use earphones when listening to music or watching shows/movies on personal devices in public spaces. For everyone's safety, there are certain prohibited items that should be left at home. Prior to sailing, please review our Prohibited Items List.
Personal Safety
Although everyone's safety is our number one concern, all guests should take responsibility for their own personal safety. You're on a moving ship, so please hold on to handrails when possible and be conscious of high thresholds when walking around. When out on deck, be mindful of wet surfaces (especially by the pool area), always wear shoes/sandals and dry-off before enjoying any of our outdoor sports equipment.
The ship's officers are responsible for your safety and making sure everyone on board feels welcome under our "Have Fun. Be Safe." motto. Please direct any concerns to our Guest Services team so that those matters can be addressed promptly. The captain and our officers have the authority to enforce our policies and make decisions in order to provide for a fun and safe environment for all. Consistent with our commitment to safety, disruptive behavior is not tolerated and any guest whose conduct affects the comfort, enjoyment, safety or well-being of other guests or crew will be disembarked at their own expense and banned from sailing on Carnival in the future.
Mobility Devices
For the safety of all our guests and crew, mobility devices cannot be left in hallways or other public areas. Mobility devices must be stored in the guest's stateroom in a manner that does not block a clear and safe exit path from the stateroom. Unless you have reserved a fully accessible stateroom, mobility devices must be able to fit in a standard stateroom with a 22" entry doorway. Guests may be required to have their scooters sized at the time of check-in to ensure it fits in the stateroom. Scooters that do not fit in the stateroom will not be allowed on board. Should a guest be unable to make alternate arrangements to rent a smaller scooter or travel without it, the guest will be denied boarding and no compensation will be provided.
Items Overboard
Carnival is committed to protecting the environment so that generations of cruisers can enjoy the ocean and the beautiful destinations we visit. Please closely follow guidelines for recycling, both on and off the ship, and be mindful of items going overboard when on open decks or balconies. We are obligated to report any items going overboard, intentionally or not, so please advise a crew member should that occur.
Any willful or negligent act of discharging or releasing any unauthorized items overboard, without the express permission of the ship's staff may result in a $500 charge, per violation. Additionally, reimbursement cost of Carnival property will be posted on the guest's Sail & Sign® account. Further, this may also result in the disembarkation of all guests in the stateroom. Please review our
Cruise Ticket Contract Terms.
Theme Nights
Theme Nights are part of the fun onboard and feature on all Carnival cruises. Be ready to dance, sing and party the night away. We do not sell any costume merchandise onboard our ships, so it is best to come prepared and pack something before you leave. See what theme nights will be onboard your next Carnival cruise here.
